Jon Fahrner, CEO, BumeBox Fahrner started his career as an early employee with Zappos.com (acquired by AMZN) and spent 6 years helping to build the world's premier online footwear retailer as a Senior Buyer. While at Zappos as a merchandiser, Jon developed the action sports, athletic fashion and urban/street categories. Farhner spent two years as the CEO of Moxsie.com, a socially driven eCommerce platform for emerging fashion designers. Moxsie has been featured as a Twitter business case study and was listed on the Internet Retailer Hot 100 for 2010. Fahrner drove live social event innovation and several pioneering social initiatives while heading up Moxsie. Rachelle Houde, Social Media Strategist, Agence Tuxedo As Social Media Strategist at the Tuxedo Agency, a Montreal boutique marketing agency specializing in creative and strategy services for fashion, beauty, lifestyle and luxury brands, Rachelle has developed and implemented social media strategies for a clients ranging from specialized women's cable network television brands to luxury leather goods, beauty pharmaceuticals to fashion accessories. Her 15 years of 'geekhood' on social networking and community sites, 10-year marketing experience, as well as a being a key cog in innovative emergency response services during the Haiti earthquake emergency using social media to move goods and services to children and people in need, have instilled an integral sociable aspect to every facet of her social media approach. The importance of active listening and participating in two-way relationships with consumers and employees, audience, brand ambassadors and bloggers has been an essential part of her strategies.
